What We Do
Stream Hill Park offers the opportunity for homeowners to build in a neighborhood that includes as much green space as it does development. We want to keep nature at your doorstep. The subdivision is composed of south-facing lots with expansive views of Kachemak Bay and the mountains beyond. Stream Hill Park is located just 1.25 miles out East End Road, putting it close to downtown Homer, schools and South Peninsula Hospital. It's close enough to walk or bike to town on a paved trail.

Business Type
Stream Hill Park is a unique Alaska development, based on the belief that neighborhoods and nature can co-exist. Thoughtful covenants are designed to reduce building impacts on nature and the view and, at the same time, afford owners plenty of flexibility. Covenants include both minimum and maximum footprints for houses, garages and other buildings. Tree cutting is limited to protect trees and to promote privacy. In each neighborhood, a few architectural elements are required to ensure homes complement each other.

Services Provided
Stream Hill Park is designed not just to provide lots for owners to build their dream home, but to provide a way of life that combines respect for nature and a respect for one's neighbors. The shining star in the subdivision is its 50 acres of green space that include parks and trails. One-quarter to one-half acre size lots have been clustered together and surrounded by a “sea of green.” Ownership of the trails, parks and open space will be transferred to the Homeowners Association no later than at the time of the last lot sale.

Service Area
If your desire is to live in harmony with nature with all the conveniences of a modern community, Stream Hill Park is designed for you. The Kenai Peninsula has a reputation as being the place where Alaskans come to play. Homer, at the southern tip of the peninsula, is considered to be the very best of all that the peninsula offers. In addition to offering excellent fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, skiing and snow-machining, Homer is home to a thriving arts community, a commercial fishing fleet and a host of entrepreneurs. If you are considering buying land in Alaska or investing in real estate in the Last Frontier or if you already know you want to make Alaska your home, you must consider Stream Hill Park.

Other Amenities
In addition to 50 acres of green space, Stream Hill Park features paved roads, underground utilities, city sewer and water, cable TV and high-speed Internet.

Payment Options
Lots range in price from $78,000 to $135,000. Financing is available. Stream Hill Park lots are offered for sale by Homer Seaside Properties.

Business Products
Developers of Stream Hill Park, Tom Taffe and Devony Lehner, drew on the philosophy of Gustav Stickley in designing the neighborhoods of this project: “Simplicity, durability, fitness for the life that is to be lived in the house, and harmony with its natural surroundings.” To help carry out that mission, they will supply homeowners with a menu of styles appropriate to each lot, identify recommended builders and supply each lot owner with a design manual. While any proposed design will be considered, how well each design promotes harmony with the neighborhood and the environment are key to approval.
