What We Do
The gallery specializes in Alaskan art and custom framing. In the summer the gallery hosts the visiting Alaskan artist series, where featured artists exhibit their work and meet with people. Also, the gallery participates in local First Friday art events.

Looking for a souvenir from Homer, Alaska or the perfect gift for a loved one? The gallery features many unique types of necklaces, earrings, pins and rings crafted from sterling silver, glass, 24k gold, pearls, turquoise, amber and stones as well as fossil ivory, porcelain and even thermoplastic resin. White heart trade beads by Jeanie Vogel, nicknamed "Russian Trade Beads," also make a perfect small souvenir. Clay pottery can also be a perfect gift, whether it's a decorative piece for the wall or a unique mug or platter. The Art Shop has a lovely selection of prints and originals from artists in Homer and around the state. Interested in a print by Jon Van Zyle or a doll by Judy Hughes? Or maybe a paper collage by Guitta Corey or one of Ed Tussey's giclee on canvas Alaska scenes is more your style. Hand painted Christmas ornaments are available from Barbara Lavallee and Ginny Benson individually crafts Alaska animal ornaments in fur and leather. Limited edition prints and posters from national artists such as James Christensen, Robert Bateman, Bev Doolittle, Daniel Smith and Carl Brenders are available. A wide variety of paintings from Barbara Lavallee, Rie Munoz, Shirley Timmreck and Gail Niebrugge decorate the walls of the gallery. Throughout the gallery are displays of clay work by Lynn Naden, Libby Berezin, Leola Rutherford and Brecht Studios, and sculptures by Moos Run Metalsmiths. Materials used in featured natural sculpture include bone, ivory and baleen. Available from Homer Artist Erik Behnke are prints and cards. Byron Birdsall, Brad Hughes and Sydney Laurence's paintings offer more Alaska and nature themed works. Creative watches by Sonya Paz add a colorful flare to the galley's showcase. Completing the list of artists featured in the gallery are Gene Amondson, and Chres Fellows. Also JoAnn George, Bruce Nelson and Nathalie Parenteau with Windsong Designs by Becky Martin.

Service Area
Located in downtown Homer, the Art Shop Gallery provides services to the lower Kenai Peninsula, including Seldovia and Anchor Point, as well as Ninilchik, Clam Gulch, Nikolaevsk and the outlying areas. The gallery also serves clients in Kenai, Soldotna and Anchorage and other locations in Alaska.
Brands Offered
For their custom framing orders the gallery uses Bainbridge mats, Larson-Juhl molding and True Vue Glass. Their national art dealers are Greenwich Workshop and Mill Pond Press.
